Dancing for a Cause is a collaborative event of eleven local celebrities that will be getting their groove thing for the first time to strengthen community support and raise funds for five local human service agencies- Alliance for Literacy, American Red Cross, Center Point, Rape Response, and Teen Pregnancy Prevention Inc.
“Dancing for a Cause” has partnered with the North Georgia Community Foundation to facilitate tax-deductible donations in support of the event. It will be held on Saturday, September 6th 2014, at the Gainesville Civic Center. Cocktails will begin at 6:00 PM, with dinner to follow at 7 PM and optional Black tie. The eleven contestants will be paired with a professional dancer and will be performing a variety of different dance styles in front of a panel of judges as well as audience members that will surely blow your mind! Each dancer will receive 10 hours of instruction and be ready to perform in front of locally-renowned judges and audiences. The votes will help determine the winner.
