Credit Tip Series - Tip Number 10

By
Mortgage and Lending with First Heritage Mortgage NMLS #: 938761

The final tip for this series is a simple but effective one! Paying a bill twice a month keeps your credit card balance and utilization rate under control. Pretty simple right? If your balance looks a little high this month consider breaking it into two payments so it's a little easier on your wallet and still allows you to make the payment in full.

You put together a good series of credit tips.  This one would be good for those who keep on charging and let it get out of control.

Whitney, I have a credit question posed to me last night by a first time home buyer. He wants to recast a auto loan and hopes to do this before buying/closing on a home. Will doing an auto recast of a loan lower his credit score and or lessen his chance of getting home loan approved? I would think it might hurt his ability to borrow but I was unsure.
