This school has a racially diverse makeup and enjoys a 4 star community rating at GreatSchools website. This school enjoys strong, positive support from the community "This school is the best. My grandson is in 2nd grade and loves this school. Mr Estes is always available for the students and parents. It is great to see him at the front of the school every morning and after school greeting the kids and parents and available to discuss any concerns and making sure the campus is a safe environment for everyone. The teachers are great and are at this school by choice. A lot of the teachers are also parents that have chosen this school for their children. Teachers encourage parents involvement. I love the location of the school as it is not on a heavily traveled street so unless you live in the area, you don't even know it is there. Much safer as far a traffic and also crime. Before and After School Programs
Kids Express is a program for school-aged students between the grades of Kindergarten through Sixth grade. Available both before and after school to provide your child with enrichment opportunities including study time. Kids Express is located at 25 Elementary School sites on regularly calendared school days, and specific sites for intersession, holiday, and summer. The Kids Express staff engage students through high interest on-site and off-site experiences. The staff is licensed by the school district with background checks and finger printing.. They are DHS licensed facilities and DES approved and attend ongoing training with professional development. With a minimum of 13 center-based activities going on at all times, Kids Express becomes an extension of the classroom providing art, music, sports, drama, computers, creative play, science, active games and homework assistance.
