Kahuna Road is in Kapaa and loops around Kawaihau Road. I like Kahuna road because it’s a quiet road and there is a quiet stream along parts of it known to locals as Jonny Tex. To get to Kahuna road follow the main road up to Kapaa (Kawaihau road)  and up towards the Makaleha mountains. There are two ways to get there either make the first right on Kahuna road. Or travel until Kawaihau Road ends at the bridge and either head right or left.

Parts of Kahuna road can have a similar feel to Wailua Homesteads or the North shore because of its isolation and wetness. Homes in the area seem to becoming more desired and therefore increasing their value. Right now there are 3 homes listed on Kahuna Road. The next home is towards the end (mountain side) of Kahuna Road which is my personal favorite location of the 3 homes at 7158 Kahuna Road. This listing has been listed the longest out of three listings for over 20 months. While driving to the property on the left side of the road is calming cool Jonny Tex stream. I enjoy walking on Kahuna Road with my two dogs Sunny and Mele. Mele loves to play in puddles if she can find them. Mele is an older dog and moves really slow so at times she will lag behind on our walks. Although she is so well known in my neighborhood that two different neighbors at different times have seen her walking thinking that she was lost and drove her back home!
