Our Reputation IS Our Business

Absolutely sad on many levels!

10k...many Realtors make more than that in just one short month.

Not the money itself, but the bad choices...does not matter if a crime was done for a dollar or a million dollars it's all in our moral fabric on how we conduct our personal and professional lives.

Money Laundering is against the law. Government frowns on that. With computer age pretty tough to do that.

Its amazing how people are willing to risk everything on something small. Typically people don't start with a large crime, it builds over time, she may just not have gotten caught before now.

Celeste -you are right.  You only have one reputation and once you lose it, it's gone.

We have had a few agents and mortgage people go to jail.  I hope that folks will take heed and not get themselves into trouble.

The thought of going to jail for a small piece of change does not entice me at all. That was obviously very foolish

Sally, we say, reputation has no price tag attached to it - and isn't it so true? And for what? Such a small amount of money?

Sad story Sally! Sometimes all we have is our reputation to go on, we need to protect that!

There have been some local agents here that ended up in jail for similar things. It's just not worth it.  

There is a lucrative dark business of converting black money to white.

Awestruck. So sad; sure, no one is hurt or deceased, but nonetheless, the efforts of a life, presumbably admirably lived, are denigrated by poor judgements, which now tarnish all the prior years.

In our business all we have is our name and our reputation. Screw that up and you've got nothing left. Crime really does not pay.

We make choices every day about how we'll behave. I, too, like to sleep at night.

Sally, once your reputation is gone there isn't much left....so very important in our business and life.

That was a really dumb thing to do! I wonder if it's really gambling money?
