Crested "Blue"tte, Colorado my favorite town - The town of Crested Butte, CO is being turned upside down this weekend thanks to winning Bud Lights #WhateverUSA contest. Bud light has paid $500K to the 
town, painted Elk Avenue blue, brought in thousands of revelers to party for a weekend that residents will never forget.
Years ago I went to college down the road from this hidden gem of a ski town, and a few years later my sister followed, however she never left. When the town agreed to Bud Lights offer to host their party and take liberties several Colorado residents were upset about the decision because Colorado, even though it is home to Coors Brewery and more recently Budweiser, has long been the king of the micro-brews, including such beers as New Belgiums ever popular Fat Tire.
However, speaking with some of the local residents of the resort ski town, they welcome the opportunity to show off their community and have a party thrown in their honor.
This party has already attracted celebrities such as Beyonce', JayZ and David Hasselhoff and there are untold others that will be playing in this great town over the next couple days.
My sister has informed me, (unfortunately only residents with ID's were allowed to attend or I would have gone down with my boys for the festivities) that the residents welcome the party, any resort town that can get paid to have a party and bring national attention to it would be silly not too.
