Spring has Sprung in Central Louisiana

Driving around Central Louisiana happens to be a treat at this time of the year.  All of the flowers are blooming and the trees are so very green since the rain we had over the weekend.  If you have not visited Central Louisiana you should really make an effort to come.  The woods and yards in Grant Parish are dotted with some of the most beautiful Dogwood Trees.  Now is the time to take that Day Trip and just enjoy the scenery.  You know the saying "You need to Stop and Smell the Roses."  With our busy lives and the stress of the everyday grind it helps to just take a day and drive around the country side.  I know with the gas prices so high now it may become the only vacation you will get this year.  So make the most of it. 

For those who are contemplating putting their home on the market, now is the time to do that much needed sprucing up of the lawn and the outside of the house.  Curb appeal is one of the most neglected aspects when we decide to sell.  We are so busy trying to get the inside presentable that we forget about the curb appeal.  You only get one chance to make a good impression so you need to make the best of it.  You could probably accomplish a lot if you just take one day to try to do all of the cleaning and mowing.  Then you can drive around and possibility get more inspiration form some of those who have already gotten their property in shape.  Who knows you may even find an interesting idea that you could use on your property with little effort.

I believe that you will not only find some of the most beautiful scenery, you will find some of the friendliest people in the state.  Also, the mud bugs (crawfish)are out and if you have not tried them you really need to.  You really don't know what you are missing.
