Finding real estate with a country feel and trees close to Colorado Springs is a challenge because we have so many big unchangeable obstacles. These include mountain ranges, military bases / academies and topography.
Red Rock Valley is on the Southwest side of Colorado Springs off of Highway 115. To the West lies thousands of acres of BLM land. The topography is rolling hills, pine trees and the rare red rock formations that are found in the Pikes Peak region. Homes on acreage here are popular because of the country feel yet within 10 minutes to Colorado Springs.
In August 2014 there were 14 properties in the Rock Creek Area South of Colorado Springs. Of these:
- 10 are active
- 1 is under contract
- 3 are sold
Of the active listings the average list price was $710,000 with 201 days on the market. Of the sold properties the average sales price was $305,800 and 90 days on the market.
