If you have never had the pleasure of experiencing Blue Hill at Stone Barns In Pleasantville NY you should make the effort to do so. Not only are you experiencing the farm to table food at Stone Barns but the overall experience. The service is impeccable and the food is amazing. They even have an herb garden where you can choose herbs for tea after dinner. Aside from the restaurant and farm, there are hiking trails all throughout the Rockefeller preserve also known as Pocantico Hills. The trails are beautifully maintained and very wide. The width was important in the days of horse drawn carriages and are still releveant because we have many that ride horses through the trails.

Now on to my reason for catching your attention, the Stone Barns Hasrvest Fest 2014. This is one of my most favorite fall events to attend and by how fast the tickets sell out, many others feel the same! This year the 11th annual fest will take place on Sunday October 5th from 10am-3pm. There will be live music, hands on farming activities, food crafting, farm olympics, hayrides, and a farmer's market. It really is fun for the whole family, or those that just want to experience the farm.
The proceeds will go towards supporting the Stone Barnes Center For Agriculture's work to imporve the way we eat. It all begins with education and because of this more people are joining us on the road to better health every day.
