I don’t know about you but I’m super excited for the grand opening of Whole Foods on September 24th here in Palm Desert. From 9:00am until 10:00pm they will offer a “Breaking Bread Ceremony” to celebrate the new market. If you’ve never heard of Whole Foods you might have been living under a rock for the last few years but they don’t advertise on TV or in a lot of print marketing so the only way you may have know about them is through word of mouth. This amazing national chain only sells organic food, from the produce to the processed, everything is natural and organic. It’s amazing. And not only will I be in attendance but the new market will also host a variety of events 
following the grand opening to give everyone the opportunity to experience and sample some of the best offerings of the store. Plus, many people will even get to take a few freebies and goodies home for themselves.
Why Whole Foods?
One of my favorite benefits to Whole Foods is their kitchen demonstration. They offer food and wine tastings and a demonstration on how to prepare some of their exclusive recipes. I love grabbing a recipe card when I’m in and have never made something of theirs I don’t like. Of course, you can visit their website and check out all the amazing recipes or come in every weekend for a new flavor or taste.
During their grand opening there will also be Happy Hour specials, vendor demonstrations and food pairings all day. For this ceremony, they have specially created a SeaChi popsicle for guests on this day.
What else does Whole Foods have?
How about an expansive array of fresh seafood, sushi, organic meats, chicken and sausages made in-house!? Their produce department offers some of the most exotic and tasty fruits and vegetables you will ever see and their bakery is brewing up some delicious brownies, cookies, whole grain breads and even Vegan and Gluten-Free options. When you are ready for a party, the beer and wine selection can’t be beat and you can pair just about anything with hundreds of local and imported cheeses.
Even down to organic Annie’s mac and cheese and cereals, Whole Foods has it all. Yes, it’s a little spendier than your typical grocery store but if you want food that’s raised right with the best flavor on the planet, Whole Foods delivers…. I just can’t wait until September 24!!
