Hurricane Season in Florida Keys, 305-395-0814

Hurricane considerations are obviously important,

and often customers will ask this question. How many have hit either side of the Islands?

With regard to customer's question relative to Hurricanes and their frequency, the only thing I can tell the customer who loves Florida Keys and has the concern about Hurricanes, is that it has been about ten (10) years since we have experienced one. They are always a concern here, as they are everywhere in Florida and up the eastern seaboard of the United States.

Meteorologists believe them to be cyclical, like sunspots. Last year Dr. John Gray and the National Hurricane Center predicted a very active season and as it turned out it was one of the quietest seasons on record. So they are anomalous in nature and they occur.

While I, as a real estate agent, Realtor, in Florida Keys,  have not given myself over to the study of the pattern of these storms and their proximate locations to the peninsula of Florida at large, it is my belief that the panhandle of Florida is more likely to experience a Hurricane than the Florida Keys.

Furthermore, Still no one knows for sure where and when Hurricanes will occur and sooner or later we will experience a storm. They are part of history and the history of the Florida Keys. I hope this helps answer your question and moderates your concerns.

Barbara, Emilia and Andrew. We got Rain! Thank God. All is well I have been thru many hurricanes in the last 32 years, and still LOVE Florida Keys. Usually, after the hurricane, I would go and visit, take pictures of my listings, and past customers homes to let them know the condition of their home. I love what've do and do what I love with compassion. Have the best day of your life.

Situation like this and others, have been great opportunity to reach out and see what's happening in my neighborhood.

I remember during Hurricane Willma, when it hit Florida Keys from the Gulf, after taking care of my ocean front home, I was able to go out and have a tour of homes in my neighborhood and my listings. It was devestating, touchy and hard to hide my tears... "a friend in need is a friend in deed.." If I want to make a differnce, I have to be different...in times of turbulances, whether natural or man made, (professional or persoanl) I believe character and committment must be  in alignment.. I believe commitment without character leads us to Chaos... that's why, agents here at AR are committed and have super nice character to be and do whatever it takes to make the transaction stress-less those whom they care and respect.  Thank you all for sharing your experiences because it's a learning process, progress and not perfection. Have the best day of your life...

Hi Lela-no one ever knows when we will get a storm. Each year they predict them but I remember as a child everyone said "oh Florda aren't you afraid of hurricanes?". All I have to say is they hit the entire east coast and gulf coast states and they have been getting lots more action than Florida!
