Today, I lost another friend. Active Rain lost a friend. The Collin County Association of Realtors lost a friend. You lost a friend too. Tom Branch.
Tom Branch was a cherished friend of this community. Often the collector of "Featured Posts".
Today, Tom lost his 9-month battle with cancer.
Tom was my friend. He was intelligent, kind and well, just Tom for those who really know him. We often meet at Tom's Active Rain meetups. He often parks his smart car right in front of Sambuca. You will know when Tom's there.
Our "REAL" Active Rain meetups really begin only after the lights go off, when all of us have enough to be happy.
Tom always returned my phone calls when I called. More than likely, I needed some advice from a trusted friend. Tom was so closed to my husband and I - that we would actually consider asking him to be the Broker-of-Record for us on a contingency plan should anything happen to my husband and I just to close out our last order of business.
Who knew that Tom would leave so soon?
Tom, I'm very sorry I never had the lunch I wanted to have with you. Maybe we'll do it in Heaven when I get up there. Love you, your friend - Loreena.
