Speechless Sunday -- Finally Free of Alzheimer's

I am so very sorry for your losses. My father had Altzheimer's and my mother has stroke related dementia. :( Stopping to lift your family up in prayer.

Sorry for your loss and appreciate your mindset.  I worked for years in the Dementia area of a retirement home, and it was very sad to see family come visit & not be recognized.  I look forward to seeing the day when both alzheimers and cancer are a problem of the past.

Very sorry that you and your husband lost his dad but you are right because  Alzheimer's disease is so horrible. It robs the memories and respect of adults and have to be cared for like little kids. I am sure they are back together again and dancing on the clouds.

Bette, when my father died, he was pretty loopy from the brain snatchers.  It is such a hard thing to watch.  I'm sending you a big hug.

My father died in 1967 and I still think about him every day.

Oh Bette, I am so sorry for the loss of your father in law. Alzheimer's is an awful disease and I can understand your mother in law not wanting to fight the cancer. My daughter Katie recently met her biological grandmother, who was also suffering from the same disease. Katie's birth mother has been the caregiver for years and it's so very hard. Her grandmother passed away 10 days ago and all I can think is to be grateful that her suffering is over. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

 I too offer my condoloscenses to your family. I lost my mom to cancer almost 5 years ago and it still tears me up! Cancer and Alzheimer suck I hope we do find cures for both soon. I will pray for your family!
