Glenmont is one of the neighborhoods in Silver Spring Maryland- the last stop on Metro's Red line. Glenmont is a twenty minute subway ride to downtown Washington DC. There are single family homes within one mile of the Metro station and many home owners walk to the station to commute to work.

Glenmont Redevelopment in the Works

The first phase of the Glenmont Sector plan is happening now. The intersection of Georgia Avenue and Randolph Road is being widened and moved to create a pedestrian walkway and better road. The shopping center will be revamped and a new mixed use project is planned for a large area near Georgia Avenue and Glenallen Drive.
Why Should You Move to Glenmont?
You can have a home and yard within walking distance of Metro's Red Line. In a few years, you can take advantage of the redevelopment project which will offer commercial and retail space, open areas for outdoor markets and walking and biking trails. Glenmont is 
one and a half miles north or Wheaton Maryland where there is a large Westfield shopping mall and many ethnic restaurants. Glenmont is also close to the Inter County Connector (ICC) a toll highway connecting the eastern and western parts of Upper Montgomery county.
