Being newbies to the St Charles County area, my family is always interested in activities and festivals that we can check out. Every one (until we get to Christmas in St Charles) is a new experience and we look forward to getting to know more about our community.
This weekend is the St Charles Mosaics Festival. According to their website (stcharlesmosiacs.com), the festival is a family friendly community arts events for live entertainment, art education for kids, and art appreciation.
The festival is free and held on North Main Street in the Historic District. There will be approximately 100 juried artists exhibiting, selling their art and competing for cash prizes.
I'm looking forward to checking out Charity Fedde. I found this example of her jewelry and as a very amateur jewelry designer, I am absolutely in awe of those people who design in the same medium as me but definitely several steps up!
Our family will try to check it out this Friday night. How about yours?
