Our fees for notarizations in Wisconsin is .50 per act.  On a national level this is extremely low in comparison to most states.

We at the Wisconsin Mobile Loan Closers Network will be addressing this subject and also we are looking foward to working with our SOS office in helping them to facilitate a reasonable Notary Public fee.

What are your thoughts on raising the fee for notarizations in Wisconsin?

.50 really? Here in California it's $10.00 per act and I feel that is low considering to the potential liability we face. I'm sincerely pulling for you and your efforts.

I agree, .50 is way too low. However, I think $10 is much to high. A notary does face potential liability, but the job is not hard to do right. If it was harder, the process to become a notary would be a lot more difficult. Every body faces some liability in their work, that doesn't mean they should get paid more.
