Suzanne, This is a great idea for folks in your area to take their yard waste 9 leaves plus) to the local compost site. This fits in perfectly with living a more Green Life! I have wanted to buy a compost barrel and make our own but never plulled the trigger.

I remember having to rake the leaves from my parents yard and get them to the curb for leaf pick up.

I have noticed some leaves on the trees in Tennessee changing colors and some falling. There can be mounds of leaves in no time so having a place to dispose of them is always good to know.

Great resource for the residents, not sure why they are excluding contractors, do they not pay taxes too?

No worries though, they are welcome to dump their leaves on one of my gardens, currently looking to put a few feet of leaves on them before the snow falls so that I will have a good weed barrier when the snow packs them down in the spring.
