However, some of us are just born happy!
As of yesterday, this incredibly handsome and dapper power pole was installed and stands proudly in his new location at the west entrance of Toledo, OR on Business Highway 20, across the street from the Dairy Queen. Although his smile is now forever hidden, I consider myself lucky to have met this fine individual! Hats of to you!
Mr. Power Pole lives in Toledo, located about 10 minutes inland from the Pacific Ocean. Toledo is at the east end of the Yaquina River, a popular boating and fishing area. Toledo has approx. 3500 residents with the largest employer of the Lincoln County area, the GP mill. When it is foggy in Newport, it is generally sunny and warm in Toledo. Home prices are attractive compared to Newport. There is a very nice marina in the center of town, a historic Main Street with banks, shopping, market etc.. Toledo is unusual as the Yaquina river allows a boat to sail out to sea from Toledo if desired. It is about 12 miles to Newport at the mouth of the Yaquina Bay from Toledo Marina.
