Looking for something fun to do in Encinitas this weekend?
Beginning tonight, Thursday, Sept 19 the city will kick off the weekend with the final summer CLASSIC CAR NIGHT from 5:30pm-7:30pm.
Hot Rods, Classic Cars and Woodies will line S. Coast Hwy from D St to J St. Live music will be playing in the Smog Test Only parking lot as well as the Lumberyard Courtyard. Go early and grab a bite to eat at our local restaurants on Hwy 101 before strolling down the street to look at these amazing vintage vehicles. 
After checking out the classic cars, catch the surf movie, THUNDERCLOUD, at historic La Paloma Theater at 7 pm.
Saturday, Sept 20th - Moonlight Beach hosts Wavecrest, the longest running and largest Woodies meet from 8am - 3 pm. Come check out over 300 Woodies in all shapes and sizes. Hawaiian and surf music will be played live throughout the day and there will be raffle prizes. This only happens once a year and we are fortunate to have it here in Encinitas overlooking our award winning Moonlight Beach. Bring a beach chair and relax on the sand afterwards!
Sunday, September 21st - The 19th anuual Oktoberfest takes over the streets of Encinitas from 10am - 6pm on Mountain Vista and El Camino Real. Free parking is at Flora Vista Elementary. This event will have a parade at noon. Authentic German beer and food will be served and there will be plenty of vendors so bring your wallet! Oom pah pa music will be played and German dancers will be on hand to help celebrate the German heritage. This is such a great family event and it is free to roam around and enjoy the sites and sounds of Oktoberfest.
Summer is over and the crowds are gone. Now is the time to enjoy our city with the locals and celebrate the coming of fall! (Of course, visitors are always welcome too!)
