How many days does it take to upload pictures of your listing?

Real Estate Agent with Hawai'i Life Real Estate Brokers HRE# 58089 - RS

How many days does it take to upload pictures of your listing?

EMPTY signIs 750 days enough time to buy a camera or smart phone, go to the property, snap some pictures, and upload them to your MLS?  What about 8 months? Is that enough time to take more than one (required) photo?  Do you ever see this in your MLS?

This is one of my pet peeves with our MLS sytem and the agents who input the information.

What really kills me is when the remarks state... "listing agent is owner" ARE YOU SERIOUS? You own this property and have never bothered to take some photos, ever? Even if it's a rental, don't you go by once in a while to see if it burned down or not? Snap a picture or two while you're there! Get the tenants to email you some!

How about when they say "more pictures coming soon" and it's been on the market for 6 months? Christmas is coming too by the way.

Thanks for listening to my rant today!  Now let's get back to the usual business of selling homes and land on Maui.

Hi Georgie, I agree there is absolutely no reason to delay entering the photos on the mls. Most have a required time frame to have them online.  Thanks for the post.

Georgie, our Board requires at least 5 photos....and agents are really doing much better adding photos...some have too many like 75.

Ted - yes we have a 3 day rule to enter at least 1 picture.

Rebecca - I like that idea of 5 minimum. 75 max is a lot of pictures!

Thanks for your comments.

Hi Georgie, we'd be fined by our board for not posting ONE photo, what terrible representation for the property.

Listings cannot go live here without at least one photo and it is a fine if that one photo is not the front of the home.
