Oktoberfest in San Diego...Early!

Happening in San Diego this weekend an event that I should be attending; the one and only Octoberfest at the Hotel Del Coronado on beautiful Coronado Island in San Diego!

 

Here are the details:

From Friday, September 26 through Sunday, September 28, experience a Bavarian-style beer garden on the Sun Deck with authentic food like bratwurst and sauerkraut, Munich-style pretzels from San Diego Pretzel, schnitzel and more, plus select specialty beers from breweries like Paulaner and Karl Strauss.

Guests will also enjoy daily keg tapping and live music by German rock band The Broken Stems. The Oktoberfest menu will be available from noon to 7pm with daily keg-tapping between 12:30-1pm. Band will play from 1-5pm.

And the best part!~

Admission is free; food and drink purchased à la carte.

Ahh you guys are not missing by much.  And this earlier event will give you a chance to make a couple of others that are actually in October.  Schweitzer Ski Resort actually calls theirs 'Fall Fest' and have it in Early September because of season prepartions in October.  Beer tasted pretty good.  Mark

Sandy  & Norm, having lived in Austria & Germany for a total of seven + years there is no October fest that can match my Munich Experience:)))...all good though and the Del is one of my favorite hotels in Coronado, had many Martini's there:) their signature drink:)), Endre
