I was lucky enough to enjoy a rare quiet Sunday! No showings, no listing appointments and few commitments. After taking my Mom to church, I decided to bring her along back to Oswego and go to the last Farmer's Market of the year and just take it easy.
We stopped along the Fox River and I showed her my new favorite spot to unwind which I blogged about yesterday. We then headed into downtown Oswego and stopped at the Farmer's Market where we checked out the various booths and she bought me a chickent tamale at a booth where they also served Asian stir fry...talk about diversity! From the produce booths, soap, handmade artifacts, chocolate to organic meat - you could tell that people were stocking up as much as they could since this was the last market of the year.
Before stopping at my place, Mom asked to stop at the BBQ Express Food Truck to try the porkchop on a stick which I had raved about yesterday! Lucky for us, they still had some and we went to my place to enjoy our lunch! As we pulled into my cul de sac, she mentioned how pretty the trees were and how soon they would be bare and we would be back to our six months of winter!
She was so right...the signs of fall are all around. Squirrels seem to be crossing my path more often as I drive around town. Trees are turning quickly and their leaves have fallen earlier than ever. Mother Nature is ready to wind down, change her attire and give us a chance to renew ourselves as another year starts its slow end. Enjoy the warm weather, enjoy the slower pace, enjoy the moments and the memories!
