If you are in the Beaufort area, with an hour to kill, take a look around Lady's Island, one of Beaufort's premier residential communities. I even put in an address of an available home to plug into your GARMEN, to get you there!!
Let's start with CAT ISLAND, just over the Bridge from downtown Beaufort.
GARMEN ADDRESS -- 6 Sheridan Road ($305,000). Homes on Cat Island range from the $300,000, up to $1 million-plus homes on the deep water. Cat Island is home to Sanctuary Golf Course, which is a tremendous amenity. Membership is not mandatory.
I would make NEWPOINT my second stop. Newpoint homes start at $300,000 and go up to the $1 million range. Newpoint started the "neo-traditional" craze in Beaufort, which is the concept of a new neighborhood with new homes, yet designed along the style of homes from "turn-of-the-century" Beaufort. GARMEN ADDRESS -- 10 Hayek, 29907
ASHDALE --
GARMEN ADDRESS -- 3530 North Morgan River Drive 29907 ($549,000).
Although there was a home recently on the market at $200,000, homes tend to start in the mid $300,000 range and go up to $1 million on the deep-water. Neighborhood is defined by large lots, community boat ramp, privacy, and proximity to town.
