It's not uncommon to see neighborhood kids playing the streets of this quaint little oasis in the suburbs during the summer and sledding down snow covered streets in the winter. It's far enough from the main hustle and bustle of the city that residents don't feel like the urban center of Kansas City is knocking on their door.

What's the Neighborhood Like?
The homes you would expect to find for sale in the Autumn Park Neighborhood are generally going to range between 2400 and 3500 square feet. Most of the homes were originally built by Quadrant homes back in the late 1990's. The last set of homes in this subdivision were built in 1999. Since then, many of the homes have had updates and it's not uncommon to find homes that have extensive finished basements adding to the square footage of some of these great homes. The smallest homes in the neighborhood start with 3 bedrooms while the larger floor plans have a five bedroom layout with some models putting the master bedroom on the main floor. Most of the lots include an extended backyard to enjoy the quite Shawnee neighborhood.
What's Going on in Shawnee?
Shawnee has been working on many updates to the nearby Shawnee Mission Parkway area including new restaurants, shopping and even a new Starbucks going up as we speak. The city hosts the much anticipated Old Shawnee Days each June and a BBQ contest in September. An active community center is nearby Autumn Park with many activities for the kids. Two public swimming pools are also nearby for summer enjoyment. Extensive walking and biking trails are just steps from the Autumn Park Subdivision.
