The Present is a Gift

Idon't know why, but sometimes life just seems to get in the way. How is it that we tend to complicate even the simple matters. I was listening to a song the other day by Alicia Keys. There is a phrase in the song that just hits home. It goes like this, "I don't want to forget that the present is a gift, and I don't want to take for granted the time I may have here with you, Lord only knows another day isn't really guaranteed, " Think about it. In our business, if everyday you follow a schedule. You prospect, you keep up with the market, when there is a shift, you shift, and the next thing you know, the year is over and what is behind you, the past. I actually like the market that we're in. Oh...come on, I'm not saying, hey this is great, people are losing their homes left to right, Yeah, here another short sale. What I'm saying is, the market is what it is. This is the time that a lot of us will learn more than we ever have in the past 5 years. I talk to agents that when they are taking a buyer out, they think about what they are doing. The caring is coming back. I love it. It isn't an easy market, that's for sure, yet as each day passes by and you stay in the present......wow what a gift to look back and say, hey... I made it.. Good Luck out there. It's our time to shine. Oh yea, I have a riddle for you. What is greater than GOD, more pwerful than the devil, poor people have it, rich people need it, and if you eat it....YOU DIE? 17% of a high rated college got this right, while 80% of children did.....

Yolanda - Great insight!!!  No regrets in the past , its what made you who you are now, failures are just lessons learned for the future and the present accounts for everything.  P.S - I had to google the riddle too :P

Hi Yolanda - In my heart, I know that you are right.  In my head, however, I cannot stop worrying that my company and I may not be able to survive all of this financially.  Thanks for the riddle - I am going to give myself until 5:00 today to try to figure it out.  Right now, that seems like a long-shot!
