Great topic Marte Cliff  it reminded me of the marketing material that I created for the team members to carry around with them and hand out in spontaneous impromptu situations like that....the girls carry a bunch in their handbags....eric uses his inside jacket pocket....

    Marte, I participated in a group of professionals that hold a monthly lunch meeting in Sarasota, Florida.  

    At the start of the lunch, the new people in the group have 15 seconds each to say who they are, what they offer, etc. 

     It makes for a great "elevator speech" introduction, and only takes a couple of minutes for the 6 or 7 newbies who are present.

Fred Griffin What a good idea! Not only do those people need to learn to give an elevator speech, it keeps any one of them from being too long-winded.
