Next year the Chicago Blackhawks will play 82 games....all televised! (All in High-def for that matter)
Now I'm sure this seems like no big deal to most that would read it. But you probably don't know that in my entire lifetime (since 1979) the Blackhawks have not televised their home games! On occasion, they do air a few- especially in recent years...but by and large- 35+ games a year are not seen by the home area (minus the games one happens to be in attendance).
The Blackhawks will air on ComcastSportsNet and WGN-Ch. 9.
Hooray! Hooray! Even though the Hawks won't make the playoffs (again) this season.....they're still playing their best hockey since, at least, 2002---and next year we'll all be able to watch them (hopefully) make a run at Lord Stanley's Cup!
