Wisconsin River Fall Bike Ride  (part one)wisconsin river

Its a beautiful fall day in Stevens Point today and perfect for a ride along the river on the Green Circle Trail.

For those who don't have the time, take a look at a video of my friend Jack and I enjoying a ride along the river in Riverside park in the downtown are of Stevens Point.

We both enjoyed the exercise, scenery, and solitude of a park during a quiet time in the middle of the week, but Jack especially enjoyed the many ducks.  It’s that time of year when the ducks are getting ready to head south for the winter, with only a few more days or possibly weeks before it starts to ice up around here.

Hi Bob - That looks like a nice ride. As for the ducks, they're now starting to stream in on their way south - we get a couple of dozen or so more every time I look out there, and we'll top out at anywhere from 500 to 1,000 at peak. Noisy little guys at night too, but they don't quack - they whistle.

Hi, Bob...that sure looks like a great day. Jack really seems to be enjoying it, too. I saw him checking out the pond.

Hi Bob - I've known many people from Chicago, MI and WI who enjoyed Steven's Point; however, I never had a chance to get there. What a beautiful river! Jack makes a great companion! It won't be long now before the river ices up. Will you be doing some ice fishing?

Your photo is just beautiful!!!

Thanks for taking me along on my first trip down to Steven's Point. I really enjoyed it!
