PCS to Fort Belvoir? Check Out Cardinal Forest

Real Estate Agent with Integrity Real Estate Group

Cardinal Forest Detached Homes 1965 AdIt seems Edwin Carr the developer of the Cardinal Forest in West Springfield knew the convenient location would attract service members stationed at Fort Belvoir and the Pentagon.  In fact talk about "hyper-local" advertising.  Looks like he had it figured out in 1965.

Guess what?  With  express Metro Bus Service (18G) running through the neighborhood to the Pentagon, Fairfax Connector Service to the Springfield Metro and easy access to I-95 the Pentagon is still easy to get to from Cardinal Forest.  Add in the expanded Fairfax County Parkway and the trip to Fort Belvoir and the new NGA facility have improved.

With ¼ acre or larger lots the homes in Cardinal Forest show the care that owners have taken since the neighborhood was originally developed in the 1960's.  From two level ramblers to the largest 5 bedroom colonial you can find a home that fits your needs.

For those in the know Lake Accotink Park has an entrance off of Carrleigh Parkway.  The park features a 3.75 mile trail around the 55 acre lake for you to run, bike, walk or rent a canoe to paddle around the lake.

Cardinal Forest is in the West Springfield HS Pyramid and the elementary school and HS are within walking distance.  Want to shop?  If you want you can walk to the Giant or Whole Foods Grocery Stores and while you are at the shopping center you can stop by Starbucks, Austin Grill or The Burger Joint for bite to eat.

Our office is conveniently located close to Fort Belvoir and we'd love to have you stop by to talk about your next home.  If you are interested in a home in Cardinal Forest or anywhere near Fort Belvoir give Cindy Jones a call at 703-346-2213.  Let my knowledge of the Cardinal Forest neighborhood, commuting options to DC and local resources work for you.

Sound like a wonderful area.  I would love to have a walking/biking trail near me. I walk on the shoulder of the road in my neighborhood and the more traffic, the less safe I feel.

Tammy-I used to live in this neighborhood and loved being able to walk around Lake Accotink.  Guess you've figured out by now I like walking around water.
