The Scarecrow Contest has scarecrows of all sizes, shapes, and themes being provided by the local merchants, community organizations, and individuals, and is being judged by the public with prizes given to the best in several different categories. It’s only $20.00 to enter ($15.00 for non-profits). Be sure to shop at the local merchants and community booths while you’re there, as they will be having sales and other special deals going on throughout the day!
And this is not the end of celebrating the scariest month of the year as on Friday, October 31st, Olde Town Arvada puts on a safe and friendly night of trick-or-treating with Trick or Treat Street. Local merchants again welcome little ghosts and goblins with treats of all kinds. (Bracelets are $2.00 per child). Most local merchants stay open late just to welcome these little ghosts and goblins.
