Yesterday after their closing, my first-time buyer clients' now Homeowners in Port Washington, NY, thanked me profusely for doing what I do best; Buy and Sell Real Estate and Transaction Coordination. They said, "if there's ever anything we can do for you, please let us know." I told them that "it was my pleasure, I truly enjoy what I do, especially when my client's follow my experienced advice & work with my team of service professionals.  When you find time, please write a brief recommendation that I can post and consider recommending my services to your friends and family, for all of their Local, National, International Real Estate and Relocation Needs." 

Here's what I received a few hours ago: 

Letter of Recommendation for William Bodouva, Jr. at Laffey Fine Homes in Port Washington, NY.

Dear Bill, we know you said to take our time, but we're very appreciative and feel that there's no time like the present!  

M and I discussed it and wrote this letter together.  You had the answer to all of our questions from the start to the finish and worked above and beyond our greatest expectations!  As you stated, statistically, 91% of today's home buyers start their home search on Google, then they select the most user friendly format to search properties and finally, select an agent from that source. We used Zillow, Trulia, Realtor and a few others.  The information varied from site to site, but your profile stood out on every site.  The feedback you asked us for in the beginning was "what made you select me?" The answer is, it was simple, you had the most recent sales in the past 12 months, most past sales, fourteen 5 star reviews, this will be the fifteenth.  We read them all, as you know we were first-time home buyers, (now homeowners), so we did our due diligence and Googled ABR and Buyer Representative for Port Washington, NY and you were Everywhere!  We read your advice columns, your blog posts & learned everything thereafter from you.  

You know our schedules are extremely busy like yours, but viewing properties in the dark after work was not a deterrent for you.  You made time for us, educated us online with properties so when you called us and said "I found your next home, it was just listed today, but you'll have to move very quickly," we knew you did and we both took off from work and met with you 2 hours later at 1pm on Thursday.  

You had been right, we loved the house and property immediately.  We agreed with you and followed your advice every step of the way.  Since you had connected us with Paul Durante your specialist at Wells Fargo two weeks prior we had a preapproval to submit with our offer as well as a mortgage commitment already in the works.  This and moving swiftly with terms of 45 days to close was the reason our offer was accepted above other multiple offers.  

By 10pm that same night we had an accepted offer, finished the engineer's inspection through your expert, Richard at North Shore Home Inspections.  Our mortgage was already in motion and you had e-mailed all of the correspondence to Rich Klein at the Diamond Law Group, again your recommendation before midnight.  The next day, Friday at 12pm we signed the contract and the Seller signed it at 5pm. We did as you advised and beat the weekend traffic, when 3 higher bids were presented, but too late, the contract had been signed by us and the sellers; you got the house for us $15,000. dollars below the back-up offers!  

You earned our trust early on, so when you told us to just continue living our lives, provide the information that Wells Fargo and Diamond Law Group request and relax, that you'd oversee the entire transaction that it was part of your service we were elated.  When our attorney told us that there might be a delay in our closing date because there were 2 open building permits, we called you for guidance. You personally went to the Town of North Hempstead Building Department and worked your magic to close out the 2 open building permits that week. 

This is the first document I have written to anyone from my new home and we wanted it to be to you.  I could go on, but you asked for a brief recommendation, so thank you so much for being our Realtor for life and new friend.  We look forward to raising our children in the Port Washington School system like you raised yours; hopefully ours will earn scholarships as well!  

Thank you Bill, you are the most professional Realtor/businessperson either of us have dealt with, bar none.  As our buyer's representative, you represented us as first-time homebuyers, crafted and negotiated an incredible offer and subsequent deal and personally oversaw each step of our transaction as our transaction coordinator, you really should charge extra for that service.  Thank You:-) D&T
