I posted a blog on Thursday about my friend Kelli who had stopped by for a visit. Our friendship has spanned more than twenty years. Back then, I was the chair person of a "search committee" that was seeking a music minister for our church. We had narrowed down the resumes to the ones that we thought were good candidates for the position. When we came across the resume for Kelli's husband Doug, the committee agreed that he might be a good candidate. Later that day I called their home and Kelli answered the phone. You might say, "the rest was history." The story of how we became across the street neighbors will be revealed in another blog.
