Laguna Niugel and Aliso Viejo residents have some awesome outdoor recreation opportunities.
The cities of Laguna Niguel, Aliso Viejo and Dana Point California are located in south central Orange County west of the interstate 5 freeway. Residents of these cities are blessed with many outdoor recreation possibilities, not to mention the world famous beaches.
The Laguna Niguel Regional State Park, is a fabulous public park which provides biking, boating, picnicking, hiking, bird watching, nature trails, fishing and model plane flying locations.
The land for the Laguna Niguel Regional State Park was originally part of the large Mexican land grant, Rancho Niguel in the 1800's. The Laguna Niguel Corporation donated the land for the park in 1970 and it is a very popular destination.
The Aliso and Wood Canyon Wilderness Park is another amazing asset available to the residents of the area. This wilderness park will never be developed. The park has 4500 acres and over 30 miles of biking trails. There are deer, coyotes, and even cougars that inhabit the park.
"Why not buy a home where the rest of the world comes to vacation," is what I like to say of our area. Laguna Niguel is only five to ten minutes from the well known beaches of Salt Creek, Laguna Beach, Doheney Beach as well as Dana Point Harbor.
