The Deep Roots Festival, fka The Sweetwater festival (yeah some stupid beer company sued them to stop using that name even though "Oconee" means sweet water), will be this Saturday, October 18, 2014

The Deep Roots Festival is a cultural arts and music Festival that is located in historic downtown Milledgeville and composed of regional and national talents, artists and vendors.  It bekons travelers from all over with an antique car show, live entertainment ranging from blue grass to rock and roll, artist market, and a KidZone.

The Festival will also hold a GBA  sanctioned BBQ cookoff contest featuring the ever popular people's choice award that will draw BBQ connoisseurs from around the southeast. Starts at 10:30 sharp, first come, first serve.

The Festival has been named one the Southeast Tourism Societ's Top 20 Events, winner of  SFEA's Best Event in 2009, and voted Lake Oconee Living Magazine's Best Event in 2010.

The event takes place from 10 a.m. until Midnight.  Ticket prices are $6 until Tuesday and $8 at the gate. You don't want to miss this fabulous event.  It grows and gets better every year. The current forecast for this Saturday is Sunny with a high of 82 which is the perfect weather for an outdoor festival.

Hi Tammy,  Knowing how the festivals in Georgia have great turnouts, I'm sure that the X-Sweetwater Festival is no exception. I used to exhibit at Browns Crossing, so I know that great area.

#1 Fabricator of Solid Steel AC Security Cages

Thanks for the headsup.  I didn't realize the information regarding the name change.  We are looking forward to presenting some our smaller artistic products as a vendor at the Festival.  #ACCAGES aren't the only steel products we fabricate.

It is outdoor burning season so we definately want to get our custom fabricated Fire Pits viewed by as many people as possible.  It should be a great day to be outdoors!3D Small & Large Scale Steel Statues
