FALLING INTO FALL, Anticipating
The Approaching Holiday Season
I am a person of the Seasons, I enjoy all of the seasons as they come along, and living in NW Oregon I have the opportunity to see the seasons come and go. Each season is always my favorite season at the time and now I am FALLING INTO FALL.
It is always a miracle to me when the colors begin to change from deep greens to varying shades of yellows, reds, orange, purple and all the in-between colors that please the eye.
This month of October is always for me a month of transition to the Holiday Season, and of course this begins with Halloween, which I have to say is the least favorite of the Holidays for me.
I do enjoy the small children in their homemade Halloween costumes or even ones that were purchased. The children are always so sweet and polite and remind me of when my girls were that age. I have even thought of dressing up again in costume to greet the little ones, the last time I did that I was Raggady Ann, the little kids loved it! October also gives us the pumpkins and fall decorations of Autumn making me yearn for Thanksgiving and the coming Holidays .
October has so many activities for young and old people alike such as the Pumpkin Patches throughout Oregon. One in my area Lee Farms in Wilsonville or Bauman's in the Salem Area are just a sampling of many Pumpkin Patches and farms that are around for us and our families to enjoy.
