So much going on and opportunities to continue to expand in the commercial market for Lake Nona. Here is a rundown of recent developments:

US Tennis Association

The US Tennis Association is building a world-class facility with over 100 tennis courts on 63 acres behind Village Walk in Lake Nona. This is a perfect fit in the Lake Nona culture of health and wellness. This state of the art facility will serve all ages and stages from the young beginner to professional tennis athletes. The target completion date for this state of the art facility is 4th quarter of 2016.

Lake Nona Town Center

Lake Nona Town Center, Phase 1, is now under construction. This $150 million dollar project offers an innovative hotel concept, 80,000 sqft of office space, 4-5 restaurants and a parking garage encouraging pedestrian activity rather than acres and acres of pavement.

The 200 room hotel is a new concept- a Marriott Courtyard and Residence Inn combined- one building with two facades. You might have noticed the construction at the entrance of Laureate Park. That is the Florida Blue Innovation Center and parking garage. The 92,000 sqft, three story building will house both wet labs and office space and be anchored by Florida Blue with additional space committed to a UCF and UF partnership. Does anybody besides Tavistock develop around here? Yep...coming soon on the east side of Narcoossee Rd. is Dwell, a Luxury Apartment Complex on the western shore of Lake Whipporwhill. This community will offer 275 luxury apartments as well as 50,000 sqft of commercial space and will be a green development- using green building standards. The sensitive land along Lake Whipporwhill will be protected.

LYNX Bus Routes coming to Lake Nona

Three LYNX bus routes coming to Lake Nona. Stops will include the Florida Mall, VA Hospital, Nemours Children's Hospital and the Meadow Woods SunRail station (in 2016).

Largest City Park in Orlando

We are all looking forward to a beautiful park planned on 334 acres near Laureate Park. Both active and passive recreational opportunities will abound with lakes and trails to explore as well as a playground, baseball and soccer fields, golf practice area, picnic facilities, courts for tennis, basketball and volleyball and room for a future community center and pool.
