I have not read thae article, but I agree that it is a good time to build. Money is still cheap, and prices for alot of building materials has plummetted. For example when I started my home in 2002, I bought 400 sheets of 1/2 plywood @ $8-9. After Katrina and when building was at its peak, I saw the same plywood approach $20 per sheet. Now I see it at $10-11. Most sub-contractors, to stay working, must offer better pricing now, too.

Copper is another story, though.
