Summer has definitely passed as we are feeling the cool air and taking in the colors of Fall in Connecticut! At Pond Spring Village in Beacon Falls Connecticut our Active Adult Community is taking advantage of these beautiful days we have been having! We love to stay active during all the beautiful seasons our region offers and fall in Connecticut is known for apples and pumpkins! Now that we have picked through many of our apple orchards it is time to focus on pumpkins!
This weekend in Connecticut there are plenty of ways to get your pumpkin fix with family and friends! Grab your child or grandchild (or a friend) and take a trip to the Connecticut Trolley Museaum in East Windsor. Weekends in October every Child gets a free pumpkin with admission! Another great treat for little ones (and easy on the budget) is Pumpkintown USA in East Hampton. This town full of pumpkin people is a non-scary exhibit which is a great way for the smallest of family members to enjoy the season! Why not take a train ride to the pumpkin patch at the Railroad Museum of New England in Thomaston? On this trip passengers board the Naugatuck Railway where the train will stop for passengers to pick out a pumpkin from Naugys own pumpkin patch!
