I was on vacation in Hawaii last week with 2 of my agents. We were visiting my son in Pearl City on the island of Oahu. My son recently bought a house. All of us went to 6 open houses on Sunday. It is always interesting to attend open houses in different areas.
After we were finished, I asked them all which home was the home for them. My son said he liked the home he bought for $280,000 better than the $1,000,000+ homes we viewed. One of my agents said she didn't like any of them. The other agent said she was thinking about it. Where we live in La Quinta, California, we also get alot of people from out of the area buying homes and many get confused like we were in Hawaii. We hear many times that they want to go home and think about it. Now we understand why.
Yes, showed property last weekend to "think about it" clients. We do this everyday but consumers do not, and often need time to digest what they see and align it with what they want.
I just showed a propety two days ago to buyers who cold called me off of my sign and who weren't working with an agent. They liked my listing but needed to "think about it". They called me today and said that house wasn't for them but they appreciated my help so much they wanted to start working with me! Just goes to show you, you just never know what leads will work out and what leads won't.
Good morning Lori,
Every house has pluses and minuses and some just do not look right at all; as they say for every seat there is someone who will sit in it.
Make yourself a great day.
