Fourth Blog Of The 2014 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown, CT

Mortgage and Lending with George Souto NMLS #65149 FHA, CHFA, VA Mortgages NMLS #65149

Fall Has Arrived In Middletown Connecticut.  I posted my  "First Progression of Fall Blog Of 2014 on September 26th", and the first picture above is of the trees just before they began to change color.  I took the second picture a couple of weeks later, and posted it last Saturday in my "Second Blog Of The 2014 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown, CT".  The trees had began to change, but there wasn't much of a change yet.  By the Third Blog Of The 2014 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown, CT, last week he change in colors had started to much more noticeable.  This week the color change is even more noticeable in this Fourth Blog Of The 2014 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown, CT.

I started doing this series of the progression of Fall colors Two years ago, and hope to continue this series for years to come.  The first two years the pictures were of a farm which is only about a minute walk from my house.  This year I have decided to change the location for my 2014 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown, CT. to a lake about 5 minutes from my house.  I will continue to post pictures of this same spot throughout the Fall to show the progression of the Fall colors this year.

Fall is a beautiful time of the year in New England, but the last couple of years have only been average years for Fall colors.  I have become spoiled by the beautiful colors we normally see during the Fall, and even though the last couple of years the colors were OK, this year the colors are outstanding.  The spot this fourth picture was taken has not changed as much as some other areas in town, but it will catch up real soon and and show the excellent colors we are experiencing this year.  These are the colors I was hoping for, so my wish has been granted.

Anyone planning to come to New England to enjoy our Fall colors at their peak should plan on coming between the middle of October to the beginning of November.  My favorite colors are the trees with yellow, orange, and rust color leafs when they blend together.

Fall Has Arrived In Middletown Connecticut as you can see in this Fourth Blog Of The 2014 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown, CT.  I hope those following my series of the progression of Fall colors, will enjoy the experience of seeing the change in colors of our trees here in Middletown, CT along with me.

Good morning George. Now that is what I'm talking about. The color at this point is very special, though at this point, it doesn't last very long, but while it does, the colors are amazing.

Good morning, George Souto I love the colors of fall.... and then there will be no leaves and we'll be seeing shovels, boots and gloves.... and the color white will reign... I just had 10,000 pounds of pellets (5 ton) 250, 40 pound bags of hard pellets ready to be carried into the basement for the winter.... that's happening Saturday.

Good Morning George: When I saw the title, I clicked on it right away. Fall is a transitory season. You can see the changes vividly in a week. The foliage shows it.

Looks like you're still about a week ahead of us.  Our sugar maples are just turning bright rust/red.

The weather prognostigators are predicting a "normal" winter this year due to the Solar Vortex edging a tad north of my area of Virginia rather than bringing cold weather here.

My fingers are crossed.

Hate winter.  Hate winter.

Good morning George,

Thank you for post your fall progression of colors....what gorgeous pictures..the colors are so vibrant and beautiful! Your progression shows how quickly the changes take place and now you are at the peak! Unfortunately it doesn't last near long enough before the white stuff starts to fall.

George, As much as I like the colors, I hate snow. When the area turns white I would move south or west, pronto.

Before television people might have been excused for their ignorance. But now everybody knows that you don't have to live with snow.

George, this time lapse is a treat to follow. I did something similar a few years ago, but it was a year-long project and the subject was just one tree. Nature never ceases to amaze!

Hello George,

Just gorgeous...I don't think our trees will be as colorful this year as it has been such a dry summer, but I am hopeful!
