As the Women's Final Four Basketball teams get ready to pull into my neck of the woods here in Tampa, I ask myself what it would be like to have Tennesee's Pat Summit as an agent in my office. Can you imagine her going to a listing appointment and the seller saying " I want to think about it. " Probably not. Why? Because Pat would have done her job and already have overcome that objection before it ever came up in the conversation.
How about a potential buyer not wanting to sign a Buyers Brokerage Agreement with her? I can't see that one happening either? Or maybe she would show homes to a buyer that was not preapproved to buy. Nah, probably not going to occur on Pat's watch.
I think Coach Summit would be a fantastic realtor because of two reasons. The first reason is because she truly cares about the people she is around. The second reason is because she has a competitive passion burning inside her which will not allow her or the people associated with her to settle for anything less than creating a win/win scenario. Isn't that what we should be striving for as brokers, realtors, or anyone else involved in a real estate transaction? As a broker I learn a tremendous amount about "coaching" from watching Pat. Wonder if she has time to take over a farm area in my market????
