Vegas Bob has been visiting Ferndale in Northern California for the last 30 years.
Every time VB hikes in the Redwood Trees in Orick and the Avenue of the Giants, VB drives to Ferndale.
Ferndale California dates back to the mid 1800's with some very old history. The movie "The Majestic" with Jim Carey was filmed in and around Ferndale.
Here are some wonderful photographs that I took today on my visit to Ferndale.
The last 2 photos were taken at The Ferndale Cemetery. In the closeup of the tombstone (below) is the writing of a young man with the last name HENRY.
This young man passed away at the age of 27 years old in 1876.
Such a very young age to pass away at 27 and in the year of 1876 ... "Wow" such a long time ago.
