Halley is such good company. She brightens the day with most of her antics.
Yesterdays early morning departure was in that low laying fog. We happen to hit it just when it was starting to burn off a little south of Naples. Halley, for some reason, will wait until we start driving to eat her breakfast. She has made a habit of it so I know the back of the car on these early morning jaunts is when she feels best about eating breakfast.
Along the way just, south of Elmira, the fog was clearing with a beautiful sunrise beginning to show itself just as a train was passing. I still love these trains.

The power of these locomotives pulling 100 car trains. The rumble and the clackity clack as it passes. Still impresses me.
Then as we arrived in Sandpoint it was perfect for Halleys before work walk. We started down 2nd Avenue with little in the way of pedestrians or traffic. I have noted before how I love the early morning walks in Downtown Sandpoint.
On this particular morning Halley spotted a very curious friend. Coming down from the tree to check Halley out this squirrel amazed me with how close it was willing to get to both of us. I was waiting for the squirred to step to the ground and it never did. Halley also amazed me in that she only watched. Never jerked the leash or barked. The most reaction was a cocked head.

Off to start the day after a great morning ride and walk.
