Above and beyond for my clients: Painting of their new home!

Kathy - what a very nice and personal gift -- you have a lot of talent!

What a thoughtful gift, straight from the heart, from a very talented artist.  I'm a believer in putting special personal touches into the gifts we give our clients, it's a great way to have them always remember us.

Getting a piece of artwork representing a home purchase or sale is nice enough...so much better that you had the talent to it do it yourself.

Kathy, I can't think of a more thoughtful gift from the heart.  How lucky your clients are! I know a Chicago builder who creates a drawing of the buyer's original home.  After building a new home on the site, he gives the buyer the framed drawing of their original home as a house warming gift.

Clever idea and you get to show off your own personal talents Kathy.

Painting is such a precious gift. You are very talented lady:)

I can paint stick figures and not very good at that.  Just not something I have the patience for but I like looking at them.

Hi Kathy,  A personal gift is appreciated a whole lot more than something you buy in a store.  I have had people commission me to paint their childhood home, so they can give it to their parents as a gift, or just for themselves.  I'm sure you will be painting more homes. I also worked from old black and white photos.  You know, the ones with the wavy edges, and then they would tell me all the colors I needed to make everything.  As a future thought, I even had people want the old family car in the driveway and other memorabilia.

Kathy, that is so thoughtful that you were able to use your gifts to provide them with a memorable item for their Chicago home. I don't doubt that the referrals came as a result of your real estate expertise--but the painting is a great reminder!

Kathy, way to go... it never hurts to bring "value" to the party!!  That extra step of the "painting", put you above others!

Kathy, I agree with everyone that this was such a wonderful and thoughtful give of your heart. People understand that our time is our life, we don't get it back and when you put time into a gift like that for people, they will not be able to forget it. 

I do think you got the referrals because of the art...sounds like a wonderful thing to be known for if you were able to do that for all of your clients.
