Garage Sale Stories

Oh yes, I'm having garage sales this weekend. Turns out my Open House Signs can be useful when covered in neon cardboard (garage sale people like neon).

A "garage sale" is the same thing as a yard sale, for you Back Easters!

I've often wondered about the yard sale term. I mean, for me the purpose of a garage sale is to get the stuff out of my garage...and my car back in. If you have a yard sale is that so you can put a car on your lawn.

Yep...I'm punchy-funny. (I was going to say punch-drunk, but it's just coffee!)

I rarely do these things. The irony is always what people will buy. This is a study of human nature, I guess. The really valuable, good stuff, is still here. It doesn't seem to be about price. I have some beautiful enamel boxes which I priced the same as the cheap Halloween ones. The cheap ones are gone. Junk!

Maybe I should call it a junk sale.

I have the good things on Craigslist also. They seem to be going fast.

I've been at this for a couple days and starting to get annoyed. In some cases, I'd rather throw the item away than "sell" them to a jerk that just wants something for nothing.

Principle? Pride? Punchy?

I'm not cut out for garage sales, which is why my last one was 10 years ago...and my next?????

Ugh...glad Active Rain is here to keep me company. Watch out for more weird posts to come.

Most of this stuff will hit the trash later today.
