Bonners Ferry Golf Course Open Till Sunday October 26th, 2014

Mirror Lake Golf Course in Bonners Ferry will remain open through the last weekend in October.  Always a well maintained and groomed course it is absolutely spectacular right now.  Fairways and greens still lush and not starting to brown yet.  This is a municipal golf course and as the pictures show fairway and green maintenance is still in full swing.  (pun intended)

A nine hole course with 2 different tee locations for the full 18.  Rated at 6,001 yards for the 18 holes this makes for a challenging day as you wrap around water hazards, tree lines, and sandtraps.  With 2 par 5's,  465 & 504 yards as well as a 414 yard par 4, one can bring out the big boy clubs and not hold back.

The '19th hole', at the club house,  offers gorgeous views of the course overall as well as the 9th or 18th holes coming up off the final dog leg.  Enjoy your burger from the deck or inside with full wrap around windows.

Course fees, as with most municipal courses, are incredibly reasonalble, especially when taking into account the condition of the course and the views out over the valley.  There are no twilight fee discounts.  Bonners Ferry twilight runs to 10PM in the summer months.  During the week 9 holes will cost $18 and 18 holes runs $25.  Add $2 to either during weekends and Holidays.  Carts are available for $15 or $25.

Mirror Lake Golf Course celebrated its 40th year this season.  It was actually scheduled to open in 1972 but torrential rains washed all the seeding away.  This leads to an interesting story.  There is a house just below the existing club house that is out of place by itself.  One would think it to be a hold out and not wanting to sell when the course went in.  It was actually built to be the Mirror Lake Club House and then needed to be sold in order to successfully make land mortgage payments with no income from the course, due to the reseeding.

So come on up to Bonners Ferry this week or next weekend to get in your last golf game or two for the season here in North Idaho.

Hey Mark-beautiful course and for only $25 such a deal too! I am a lousy golfer but I treat my dad when he comes to visit and I had a special for only $150 each. Maybe I should take him out west next time!

Our courses stay open all year weather permitting. That said there is not much golf going on in January and February.
