Are you even kidding me was my reaction when I tried to put my MLS ekey adapter into the iPhone 6 with the otter box on it and found it wouldn't work. Sigh.
When I got my iPhone 5 I had to buy this little gadget to connect the supra fob to my phone. Made it a bit more trouble, but I adjusted. And as I sometimes do when I get done showing property and put my fob back on my keys... once I put this little jewel in my pocket and forget it. I remembered when I took it out of the washing machine on a morning I had an appointment to show property. So I ran to the Verizon store and bought a second one that I kept in my car (ALWAYS) when I wasn't using it. I kept the one I washed and after a few days of it drying out I figured out it still worked even after a swim in the washing machine. I kept it in my desk to use as a spare. Not only did I use it a few times, but one of my agents has borrowed it from time to time.
Now I'm waiting on my order from Amazon to arrive in the mail with the new little thing. The old one still fits the connection on the phone, but NOT the new otter box. And yes, I could opt for a less protective cover for my phone, but for those of you know me, you know that's NOT the best idea. If you have been around me for a couple of hours or more you've likely seen me drop my phone. And a few months ago Donald broke his screen... one more reason I know I need to have an otter box with a screen cover.
I am pretty sure it's all a conspiracy. All the CEOs of these companies call each other up and ask them to make changes so we'll have to order new parts. I got a new phone and that means I have to also get a new case and a new adapter. It was almost worth it for me to not trade in my old phone and use it as just a key to show property. Or even revert back to the old ekey I had to update nightly on a cradle.
