Kamehameha Schools Graduates in Seattle Washington
On Saturday October 18, 2014 the Kamehameha Schools' Alumni Association Northwest region met at the Casey Building located at my husband's alma mater Seattle University in Seattle, Washington.
It was nice to have an opportunity to speak with others who have the same or similar experiences being Hawaiian now residing in the greater Seattle, Washington area.
It was a potluck meeting. Someone brought white rice while another brought sushi. I brought fried chicken which went perfectly with the white rice. Fortunately someone else brought a fruit salad and another mochi.
We were able to talk and reminisce. It was great to see familiar faces of "local people" from the islands. Being so far away from Hawai'i it's always nice to see "local faces".
Here are some of us which includes someone who earned her doctorate in education, a recent 2013 graduate, and a judge in the State of Washington.
If you are a Kamehameha Schools' graduate please join our group and help us be active with outreach efforts to help Kamehameha Schools' graduates in the area.
I also like to connect with other Hawaiians who are non-Kamehameha Schools' graduates living in the greater Seattle area.
Due to privacy laws we are unable to obtain names, addresses, and emails from the Kamehameha Schools' Alumni Association office back in Hawai'i so please contact me if you would like to connect with us.
