A little kindness goes a long way...

By

In the future ,when someone opens a door for you..just say thank you! I cannot tell you how many people I have opened doors for that would run you over if given the chance. Most of them are of the younger generation as if they have no manners or do not know how to interact with the public.

I am sure most of the Realtors I know were brought up to respect their elders. This is just not the case in the current society.

When most of us see a person that is struggling to put on a coat or open a car door or building door.Do you not step in to assist?

We are appalled at the way we see younger people treat  those in need. What do you think?

I used to get mad at people that I've held a door for and didn't say thank you, not anymore.  I find that people can be so self absorbed and if I got annoyed at everything thtey do wrong I'd drive myself crazy.  I huess we can just be the change we want to see in the world.

Bill,

It was shared with me many years ago by a seasoned sales trainer....."to be interesting, be interested". Great words of advice for those whose livelihood depends on interacting with the public.....

Hmmm...what do I think...I think today's generation seems to have much less experience interacting with people but plenty looking down interacting with their phones. I don't get mad either, but I do wonder who will be opening doors for all the people looking down at their phones in the future.

A smile will always get you fartner than a snarl. Thank you was an often heard phrase when I was growing up but now, not so much.

The important point of being courteous, is doing it, without any expectations.  It does make life a little easier for you, too!

Bill I run into so many good people and lately even more so. With a broken foot a big boot I've gotten many doors opened for me and other kindnesses as well and I am so appreciative. Little kindness along the way each day can make a huge difference in the world.  I also let people in in traffic...and guess what...it comes back to me often.

Good Evening Anna , You are so right in what you say. I often tell people everyone has options on a daily basis. If you have learned a better way to do something and do not share it with someone that it can make better ,what have you really achieved in life.
