There are multiple transaction management programs on the market that serves multiple purposes and it is imperative that you are equipped with the basic knowledge you will need to identify the pros and cons of each as well as identify which program will integrate with your real estate office business model.

One of the first steps you should understand is the difference between a productivity management, transaction mangement, and a closing management platform.

 

The information below is used to understand the basics of each platform available on the market

 

  • Productivity Platforms - a productivity program is a culmination of programs package together to accomplish different aspect of the real estate business such as the functions and feaures used in Top Producer and other that include the TP feature as well as integration with a bookkeeping program and a leads management add-on.
  • Transaction Management - a transaction management program generally consists of listing, marketing, and closing. The contact management aspects of the program is a standard function that begins when the listing is acquired and when a buyer is associated with a property.
  • Closing Managment - a closing managment platform begins when ratified or executory contract is communicated and received. From that point forward, the contingencies and contractual actions are being managemed to ensure a smooth and successful closing.
